Brenda Irene Warmoth was born December 21, 1946 in Middleton, Ohio. She lived in Middleton until graduating from Lemon-Monroe High School in Monroe, Ohio in 1964 with the nickname, “Smiley”. Her working career started at Middleton City Offices as a co-op secretary for the City Manager. She had several office jobs during the next few years, spending five summers working at her church camp where she organized the cafeteria: hiring, menus, meal prep, supplies and bookkeeping for band camps, retreats and camp meetings, sometimes serving up to 300 people daily.
She then went to work for Edgewood City Schools as an administrative assistant in the board office, gifted services and special education where she remained for 32 years until retirement.
Brenda has always been involved in church, showing her love for God working in the following capacities at the Nazarene Church in Ohio: teaching children’s church 27 years, leading adult and children’s choirs, director of cantatas, monthly missionary lessons, weekly senior adult home visits and card ministry for anyone who needed a little extra love. Her hobbies included crafts, cooking, sewing and running with her children to whatever they needed.
After remarrying in 2016, she lived between Ohio and North Dakota. She managed The Store House Food Pantry for two and a half years until the First Church of God, (Grand Forks) closed their doors in 2018. Under her leadership, The Pantry was awarded the agency of the year in 2017 “Because of your dedication to hunger relief”. Valley Christian Church became her home church in 2018.
