William B Schauer, 67, earned his rest October 4, 2020 in Frazee, MN following a lengthy illness.
Bill was born June 2, 1953, in Grand Forks, the seventh child of William A. and Helen (Enerson) Schauer, and their first son. He graduated Central High School in 1971 and went on to Lake Region State College for diesel mechanics. Most of the years since then he was a truck driver for many of the trucking companies in the area, including Karriers, Aslakson, S & S, Britton, and most recently Freight Ex. He was able spend memorable time with friends and family when they traveled with him over the road, even finding a couple of wives in the process.
He loved hunting, fishing, almost any kind of auto racing, watching Sioux hockey, professional wrestling. His constant companions at home were the family cats, especially Louie, and the granddog, Echo.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years (June 7), Barbara, and their sons, Randall, Bradley and Michael, all of Grand Forks. His daughter, Jessica, of Moore, OK, and his sisters, Bonnie Bell, Arizona City, AZ; Edith Impson , Selah, WA; Helen Kay (Don) Sadler, Yakima, WA; Cynthia Rennie, Grand Forks; Brenda Bennett, Vancouver, WA; Carol Schauer, Middletown, OH; and Debra Duvall, Grand Forks. Two grandsons, Alexander Leegard, St Mary's, GA, and Isaac Watermam, Moore, OK, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eddie and daughter, Julianne Leegard.

Memorial service Friday, October 9 at 2pm at the Amundson Funeral Home with visitation from 1 to 2 pm. Inurnment at a future date.
