Wallace (Wally) L. Haney, 95, passed away on September 30, 2019.
Wallace was born in Clearbook, MN on April 29, 1924 to his parents Clyde and Amanda (Lund) Haney. He grew up with his siblings - (Pete)Merwyn, Carol (Johnson), Shirley (Sonterre), and Mavis (Szabla). He worked on the farm while attending and graduating with honors from Bagley High School.
After graduation, Wallace married Margaret (Moritz) and enlisted in the US Army during WWII. He was in Okinawa in 1945, when he was injured by shrapnel from a bomb.
After a long recovery he returned to Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Wallace started his working career at Minnesota Dairy and eventually became the plant Foreman there where he retired after 39 years.
During this time, he helped raise his step daughter and fathered and raised four more girls.
Wallace lost his first wife prior to retirement. He then met Marjorie (Hartwig). They married and enjoyed more life with his second family.
Wallace was bored after retirement from Minnesota Dairy and started a part time job at Y Family Center as a handyman. He worked there for 13 years.
Wallace was a Disabled American Veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
After losing his second wife, he opted to downsize his household and has been enjoying life at Parkwood Senior facility in Grand Forks.
Wallace was preceded in death by both parents, his younger brother, his wife Margaret and step daughter, Mary Lou and his second wife Marjorie and stepson, Clark.
He is survived by his sisters Carol, Shirley and Mavis. His daughters Sharon Lais, Juanita (Walter) Kram, Vicki Haney, and Barbara Phillips. Stepsons Clarence Hartwig and David Hartwig. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
