Todd L. Johnson, age 66, longtime resident of Grand Forks, ND passed away on July 16, 2024, at home. 

Todd LeRoy Johnson was born on July 11,1958, in Grand Forks, ND, one of four children born to Raymond and Rose (Aasen) Johnson. He grew up in East Grand Forks, MN and attended Crestwood Elementary and East Grand Forks Senior High School. He graduated with the Class of 1976. Todd's proudest accomplishment was his enduring marriage to Kathie Hendrickson whom he married on March 1, 1987. They shared over 37 years of love and partnership until his passing.

He had a distinguished career as a self-employed painter and later a painter for Grands Forks Public Schools, where he dedicated his talents for over 20 years. Todd took pride in his work and was recognized as a perfectionist for his meticulous attention to detail. In 2018, after two decades of service, he made the decision to retire.

 Aside from his professional interests, Todd had a love for motorcycles and muscle. He often took Kathie for rides on his Indian motorcycles, 1969 Super Bee, or in his latest acquisition, a 1958 Chevy Impala. His passion extended to maintaining a pristine yard and watching NASCAR when he found himself indoors.

 He is survived by his loving wife Kathie; siblings, Terri (Russ) Leidholm, Tyler Johnson; father-in-law, Skip Narum, brother-in-law, Dave Hendrickson, sister-in-law, Jana (Ray) Denault, many nieces and nephews; with Jennifer (Eric) Smith, Justin (Shelby) Denault, Travis Johnson and Becky (Jeff) Nielsen holding a special place in his heart.

 Preceding him in death are parents Raymond Johnson and Rose Greenberg; brother, Tim; mother-in-law, Bernice Narum and sister-in-law, Jani Hendrickson.

A Memorial Service will take place Friday, July 26, 2024, at 2:00PM at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. 

In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations can be sent to: Circle of Friends (4375 N Washington St, Grand Forks, ND 58203 ) or the Altru Cancer Center (960 S. Columbia Rd. Grand Forks, ND 58201). 

 The service will be an opportunity for friends and family to honor Todd's memory and pay their last respects to a man whose dedication and craftsmanship touched many lives. Todd will be dearly missed but remembered fondly for the indelible mark left on all who knew him.
