Timothy James Helmoski went to live with Jesus on Friday, January 25, 2019, succumbing to terminal illness at home under the care of loving family and Hospice.
Tim’s story began on November 12, 1969, he was born the middle child to James and RoseMarie Helmoski. Tim was born in Grafton, N.D. He grew up loving the outdoors with a passion for fishing, camping and boating. Wherever you found Tim, you would always find his younger brother following him and joining in on some sort of shenanigans.
Tim excelled at fixing anything that had moving parts and always had some sort of vehicle project in the works. His latest project was custom fabricating a larger engine to fit into a pickup, making all of the necessary modifications so his new project would purr. He enjoyed playing his electric guitar . . . LOUD, so the neighbors would not miss out. If he challenged you to any video game on PlayStation 1, 2, 3 or 4, you can bet he had mastered the game and you would end up losing. Tim also had an artistic side and could freehand draw spectacular pieces of art. He passed this gift down to his daughter.
His sense of humor and storytelling abilities would keep you laughing until you cried or peed your pants. He found the simple things in life to be the things that mattered the most. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
We will miss the little things that made Tim who he was, his hello greetings that made you feel like the most important person in the world to him; that look - one eyebrow up and the other in place when he didn’t agree with you (he is the only one who can do that in the entire family); his silly voices when he told stories; his bear hugs and most of all his request to come for a ride with him either in his modified vehicle he just got running, his motorcycle or his snowmobile – that is, if you dared!
Loved ones that will miss Tim until they meet again are his mother RoseMarie Helmoski; the mother of his children Camille Conlon; his daughter and son-in-law Tisha Lashá DeNault (Pookie) and Michael DeNault; his son and daughter in-law DeVan James Helmoski (Bubba) and Michela Helmoski; his grandchildren Allen LeeRoy DeNault (Monkey); Keysha Ellen DeNault (Ki-Ki); and Zion Van DeNault (Lion). His brother Samuel David Helmoski; and his sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Tim Sanden. His nephews O’Ryan Helmoski and Garret Bax; and his nieces Sarah Sanden, and Rachel Sanden. His aunts MaryAnn Lundquist and Evelyn Kovarik.
Loved ones that joyfully welcomed Tim in heaven are his father James Joe Helmoski; toddler nephew Zachery Samuel Helmoski; maternal grandparents Albert and Annie Kovarik; and paternal grandparents Louis and Helen Helmoski.
His family will celebrate his life in a private gathering.
