Timothy A. Kennedy

Timothy Allen Kennedy, age 73 of Grand Forks passed away on Saturday January 21, 2023.

Tim was born September 24, 1949 in Grafton, ND to Joseph and Margaret (Orsund) Kennedy. He graduated from Grafton High School and the ND State School of Science in Wahpeton. He was employed by CenturyLink for 42 years, retiring in 2017. 

Tim was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching his grandkids in whatever activity they were doing, going to the lake and fishing. He was a simple man with a heart of gold that could fill a room with joy and laughter. 

He is survived by his daughters Shanna Kennedy and her children Olivia and Emmalee Olds and Kalie (Chris) Shawstad and their children Briana (Ben) Wirkus, Kyle, Caitlyn and Ava and his first great grandchild due this spring; mother Margaret Kennedy, brothers Kirk (Jeanne) Kennedy, Frank (Helen) Kennedy, sisters Mary Jo (Mike) Boelke and Kerri Osowski; along with 3 maternal aunts and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Kennedy and brother-in-law Tim Osowski.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
