Terry Michael Sattler, 57, Grand Forks, died Sunday December 15, 2024, at Altru Hospital.
Terry was born March 19, 1967, the son of George and Marion (Korynta) Sattler. He grew up and attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School special education classes, Valley Junior High, and graduated from Central High School in 1988. Terry worked for Lake Agassiz Support Services for a time.
Terry loved fireworks, especially Black Cats. He enjoyed camping with family, especially hotel camping with his family. Listening to Neil Diamond, John Denver, and Christmas music of all sorts, and attending concerts. He loved going to the races, especially when his brother Tim was racing, going to Monster Trucks, casino trips, playing bingo, going to high school hockey playoffs, UND hockey and watching Green Bay Packer Football.
He was a true fisherman; he would catch one perch that would feed the family for the rest of the summer with the exception of sharing with his sister Deb. Terry also loved watching the Muppet Christmas Carol, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and Trains, Plains and Automobiles with his brothers and brothers-in-law.
Terry was very faithful and enjoyed going to church on Sundays and going to Perkins afterwards with family.
Terry is survived by his mother Marion, siblings: Debra (Dana) Hillebrand, Kim (Albert) Hager, Randy (Wini) Sattler, sister-in-law: Sherre Sattler, all of Grand Forks; nephews: Dustin (Laura) Hillebrand, Devin (Lauren) Hillebrand, Brian (Ashley) Hager, Stephen (Kirsten) Hager, Matthew (Allison Ozaki) Hager, Gunnar Sattler, Garrin Sattler, Andrew (Tara) Sattler, all of Grand Forks, Nick (Kassy) Sattler, Centennial, Co; great nieces and nephews: Tucker, Oscar, Hallie, Nora, Miles, Gage, Tyberias, Rhett, Reese, Landon, Avalon, and Spencer; many aunts and uncles, cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father George, infant sister Cheryl, brother Timothy, and several aunts and uncles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
In leu of flowers, memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association.
