Powell and Philiper Skyler West-Powell. Tarvell was considered the “middle” child making his arrival only seconds after his twin brother Travis Powell. Five years later, he became big brother to his baby sister, Katrina Powell. Tarvell graduated from Madison Central High School in 1998. Shortly after graduating, he joined the U.S. Army to pursue his dream of being a chef. After getting injured while in the army, Tarvell decided to move to Minnesota to be closer to his twin brother. He continued his career as a chef while in Minnesota and later moved to North Dakota. Tarvell used his gift of cooking to spread comfort and joy to those he loved. Every year he would host friends who became family for Thanksgiving, and his annual Veterans BBQ at the park.
He NEVER met a stranger, smile and laugh was contagious, hardworking, charming, protector, spoke his mind, and was fearless. He was a great big brother, son, father, cousin, nephew and friend. Tarvell shared his contagious smile and laugh with everyone he met, and he never met a stranger. He wasn’t afraid of anything, including speaking his mind. He was charming and protective.
