Stuart Brian Selseth

Stuart Brian Selseth, 63 of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 22, 2023. A family directed Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the VFW, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

Stuart was born on March 23, 1960, in Crookston, MN to Arthur and Phyllis (Carlson) Selseth. He graduated from Grand Forks Central in 1978, where some of his fondest memories included wrestling and being a linebacker on the football team. Following high school, Stuart moved to Denver to pursue a career in construction. Later, he joined the United States Navy, serving from 1985-1988 and was in the US Navy reserves until 1996.

Following his time in the Navy, Stuart focused his career on welding and sheet metal fabrications in which he had over 20 years of experience. He spent time traveling and working along the west coast until finding his way back home to Grand Forks, ND.

Stuart’s favorite days included fishing, cooking family meals, a pinochle tournament with family, and of course a cold beer. He could often be found reading a book or cracking a bad joke.

Stuart is survived by his sister, Rosemary (Jim) Finck; brothers, Art (June) Larry (Jeanette) and Doug (Cheryl). He will also be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Greeting him in heaven is his brother, Wayne Selseth, sister-in-law, Judy Selseth, nephew, John Finck, his parents and many more family members.
