Steven Bo Bostrom, 59, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at home after living with esophageal cancer for two years.
Bo was born on July 3, 1960, in Grand Forks, ND, to Ray and Shirley Bostrom. He attended West School, Valley and Central High School in Grand Forks, graduating in 1978.
Bo worked for Grand Forks Coca-Cola for many years. Following that, he ran International Designs/The Shirt Shop. He worked as Concessions Manager at The Alerus Center, and later consulted with VenuWorks to help open several event centers around the Midwest, including the Sanford Center in Bemidji. He went to work for Prom Catering in 2013, working in concession management for PGA tournaments all over the country.
He thoroughly enjoyed customers and coworkers in all stops during his career.
Bo is survived by his sisters, Barb Nistler,Grand Forks and Sue (Rick Abrahamson) Bostrom, Bloomington, MN; his nephew, Tom Nistler; and three nieces, Maggie Nistler, Annie Nistler and Carrie Nistler, all of Grand Forks. He is also survived by his Aunt, Joy Bostrom.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents, and his
brother-in-law, Paul Nistler.
Per Bo's request, private services were held.
Bo appreciated the caring individuals at Altru Cancer Center and asked that memorials be directed to Altru Alliance for cancer patient meals.
