Sharrell Lee Ann Holter, 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at her home in Grand Forks.
Sharrell was born May 4, 1946, in Grand Forks, the daughter of Bruce & BelleMarie Russell. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from GF Central in 1964.
She married Lamar Holter and together they made their home in Grand Forks.
Sharrell owned and operated the Mecca Lounge in Nekoma for over 40 yrs with her companion James Allbrooks. She also worked in the OB nursery at the St. Michael’s Hospital in Grand Forks. She also worked as a Para for the school system and at the YMCA.
She enjoyed sewing, watching TV, going out to dinner.
Sharrell is survived by her sisters, Bette (Dick) Sorlie and Lorelie Sannes both of Grand Forks; nieces, Michelle Nelson of GF; Kristen (Curtis) Green of Colorado Springs, CO; nephews, Brian Brevik of Thompson, ND, Gary (Tina) Brevik of Cavalier, ND; great-nieces/nephews, Casey and Shelby Green, Darian and Brittany Brevik, Marcus Nelson and Austin Olson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Holter and her companion of 40+ years, James Allbrooks.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
