Sharon Elaine Clement of Grand Forks, ND, age 43, passed away at Valley Senior Living
Center - Lanark Neighborhood on Monday, April 4th, 2022. She was born on January 5, 1979
in Silver City, New Mexico the daughter of Patricia ‘Patsy’ Ann (Schampers) Clement and
Sherbine Jack Clement.
Sharon grew up in Hurley, New Mexico and graduated from Cobre High School (1998). She
moved to Moorehead, MN in 1999 and then to East Grand Forks, MN in 2005.
She found her home, her “ND family” and many friends in Grand Forks, ND. Sharon worked
in child care at United Day Nursery, Inc. and Wonder Years which she so enjoyed. Sharon
did the best that she could each and every day especially when at work with young children.
Sharon truly enjoyed family gatherings growing up - she hated seeing them come to an end.
Family picnics were also a favorite of hers. Sharon had fond memories of Christmas Eve’s
at grandma and grandpa's house - shaking presents under the tree with cousins and
speculating about what was inside. Sharon had a knack for writing poetry, compiling quite
an assortment over many years - several dedicated to family and friends.
Sharon loved life and fought a valiant battle with cancer for over ten years before succumbing
to the disease.
Sharon is survived by her mother Patsy and her older sister Marcia as well as numerous
aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her very good friends and ND family,
Steve and Sherry Mokerski. Sharon will be met in heaven by her father Sherbine ‘Jack’
Clement, paternal grandparents, Oscar Sherbine & Betty Katheryn Clement, Aunt Norma &
Uncle Hubert Fulgium, Aunt Jean & Uncle Rueben Pearce, Aunt Irene & Uncle Tommy
Sherwood, Aunt Diane & Uncle Rudy Sanchez, and her maternal grandparents Al and Billie
Schampers.
Sharon’s family wishes to express their appreciation to Steve and Sherry as well as to Sharon's
many Nurses, CNA’s, Doctors and Social Workers for their loving care and attention while living
at Tufte Manor, Valley Senior Living and including her many stays at Altru Hospital.
No services are planned at this time.
Two of Sharon's many poems:
Time (dated 12/10/07)
My world is changing,
I'm not the same one.
My life is rearranging.
See what time has done?
Where is that time?
Why can't it be found?
It went away one day
It could not hang around.
Where is that time?
Where did it go?
Do I remember?
That time I used to know?
Where has time gone?
The time I used to know,
Time has marched on,
and I must go with the flow.

Turn to God (11/14/08)
At times life isn't the best,
and you feel you're all alone.
tears you've shed,
just like all the rest.
You're not on your own,
God is always there.
About you He does care,
prayer you should not postpone.
If you just believe,
He will answer you,
you He won't deceive,
it's He you should pray to.
He's there in times of joy,
also in times of need.
for every man, woman, girl & boy,
Hearing every thanks and plead.
God answers in different ways,
if we would only listen.
By our side He stays,
As our pain starts to lesson.
