Sharon Ann Bohn

Sharon was born on July 12th, 1946 in Grand Forks, ND daughter of Edmund and Irene Matz. Sharon was raised in Grand Forks and was a graduate of Central High School in 1964. Sharon married Richard Lee Bohn on January 29th, 1966 in Grand Forks where they made their home and raised five children. While raising the older of her five children, she worked downtown at Norby’s department store in the men’s department. After Richard passed away in 1989, she stayed home with the twins. She was very talented and enjoyed ceramics. You were almost always guaranteed to receive a ceramic gift for any and every holiday. She enjoyed quilting with a group at her church, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She loved reading books, word search, coloring books and watching the hallmark channel. When her favorite ceramic store closed, she turned that passion to making tie blankets, and lots of them (over 150). She gave these blankets as gifts for many occasions. She always paid attention to every detail, and you could never slip anything by her! She loved going for daily morning coffee with friends at Home of Economy; she also enjoyed lake time, and family gatherings. Survivors include children Renee (Tim) Grove, Winchester VA, Scott (Darci) Bohn, Grand Forks, Robyn (Brad) Thorvilson, Fargo, ND, Ryan (Chelsey) Bohn, Grand Forks, Robbie Bohn, Grand Forks. Grandchildren Derek (Monica) Bouck, Dane (Sydney) Bouck, Morgan (Cody) Hansford, Zach (Makenzie) Bohn, Hannah (Gonzo) Macabeo, Adam Bohn, Shelby (Mason) Bjornson, Dana Thorvilson, Carter Thorvilson, Nora Bohn, Haddie Bohn, Jude Johnson and Paisley Bohn. Sharon would have been a first-time great-grandmother this summer. Siblings Robert (Claudia) Matz and Barb (Bob) Thompson. Longtime dear friend Norm Haug. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Richard, and parents Ed and Irene Matz.
