Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Kyllo

Sandra “Sandy” Kyllo, age 67, of Larimore, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Altru Hospital.  

Sandy was born October 11, 1956, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Arthur “Junior” and Neoma (Jorgensen) Neumann.  She graduated from Unity High School, Petersburg, ND.  She married Paul Kyllo on September 12, 1975.

Over the years while raising their two children, she joined Bachelor’s Grove Homemakers, worked part-time at the McCanna Greenhouse, and helped to keep the farm help fed.  She was a member of the Larimore United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School, and attended women’s group and helped coordinate funerals/special events.  Sandy attended Aaker’s Business School in Grand Forks and returned to school at the University of North Dakota and Graduated in 1992.  She began working part-time at the UND Alumni Association while finishing her degree and continued full-time until retiring at the end of 2012.  After retirement, she and Paul enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona and during the summer, spending the weekends at Stony Point on Cass Lake in Minnesota.  Sandy enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending Sioux hockey games.  She also made sure not to miss her grandsons’ sports activities, cheering them on as their biggest fan.  Her favorite past times were gardening and canning the harvest, specializing in her spaghetti sauce and raspberry jelly; baking, reading, and playing cards with her kids and grandkids. 

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Paul; children Stacey (Chad) Robertson and Jon (Chris Back); grandsons Hunter and Brady Robertson; brothers Greg Neumann (Mandy Haas) and Randy (Geri) Neumann; special uncle Arlyn (Liz) Jorgensen; sister-in-law Deb (Paul) Andahl; brother-in-laws Jeff (Carolee Anderson) Kyllo and Rick Kyllo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents Art and Neoma Neumann.

Memorials preferred to Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore Ambulance, or organization of your choice in memory of Sandy.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home.
