Ronald Glenn Smithee

Ronald G. Smithee, 67 of Grand Forks, North Dakota entered through the gates of heaven on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Ron was born on April 16, 1956, the son of James and Glenda (Vallance) Smithee in Rockford, Illinois. He worked as a tree trimmer and worked for Graves Again Corporation. 

Ron enjoyed fishing and barbecuing with family. He was a man of strong faith, an amazing dad and a proud on hands grandpa. Ron was a calm person; you could always go to if you needed a shoulder to lean on. He was always willing to help and always had the right words to say. Ron never complained and will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his son, Randy (Natalie) Smithee; daughters, Lois (Robert) Campbell, Ronnika Smithee and Torri Smithee; grandchildren, Leevi, Dericka, Kaiden, Issac, Ava, RJ, Paisley, Joseph, Jeeven and a grandchild due this summer; brother, James (Susan) Smithee; sister-in-law, Tracy Smithee; several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, infant granddaughter, Cherish, brother, Rick Smithee and sister, Brenda Scott.

 Private family services will be held.
