Roger C. Soli, 86, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo, ND.

Roger was born June 25, 1934 in Vang, ND, the son of Palmer & Nellie (Peterson) Soli. He grew up in Langdon where he graduated from high school.

He served 2 years in the US Army before his honorable discharge.

He moved to Grand Forks where he attended UND.

Roger married Mary Spenst on March 3, 1957 in Cavalier, ND. They made their home in Grand Forks and raised 5 children.

He served as a police officer for two years prior to entering into the grocery business for many years with Miller’s grocery. In 1984 he moved to Baudette, MN where he owned and operated Dana’s, a convenience/bait and tackle store until his retirement. In 2007 he retired and moved to Veblen, SD

Roger enjoyed deer hunting, duck hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was also a UND sports fan.

He is survived by his children, Karin Stack of Juno Beach, FL. Michael (Trudy) Soli of East Grand Forks, MN. Darrell (Lora) Soli of Salem, OH. Diane (Robert) Kuntz of Thompson, ND. Jill (Richard) Millner of Veblen, SD; brother, Paul Soli of Des Moines, IA; sister, Wanda (Chuck) Eller of IN; grandchildren, Jason (Amber) Soli, Adam (Kara) Millner, Tyler (Jessica)Soli, Kyle Soli, Alec Millner, Derick (Jamie) Soli, Kegan Stack, Reid Stack, Nicole (Nathan) Blaire, and Maren Stack and #10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and siblings, Warren, Don, Dale, Eli and an infant brother.

Funeral Service:  10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24 at Amundson Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service.

Interment: Vang Cemetery, Vang, ND.
