Roberta Hagert, 79, passed away June 3, 2022, at Northwood Deaconess Hospital.
Roberta was born October 14, 1942, in Fargo to Erwin and Lucille (Augustin) Bohnsack. She graduated in 1960 from NW High School in Crookston, MN. She then attended Aaker’s Business College. She worked for Bell Telephone Company after high school.
She married Walter Drees on November 2, 1962. From this union, she had two sons David Drees of West Fargo, ND, and Keith Drees of Emerado, ND. Roberta (Drees) was the youngest President of the North Dakota Home Makers Association, which placed her on the national board. Walter passed away on October 7, 1972.
Roberta married Curtis Hagert on January 18, 1974. From this union, Jared Hagert and Joleen (Hagert) Hauge were born.
Roberta worked as a housewife and after raising her children, she assisted Curtis in starting and operating Hagert Seed Plant. She was active in the communities that she lived, the churches she attended, teaching Sunday School and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, and an was instrumental in the Emerado Community Garden at the Emerado Presbyterian Church, Emerado, North Dakota. The twinkle in her eye and smile on her face were never more evident than when around small children (and Curtis).
Roberta is survived by her husband; Curtis; sons: David (Angie) Drees, Keith (LeeIla) Drees, Jared (Brandie) Hagert; son-in-law Jamie Hauge; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, siblings: Phil (Judy) Bohnsack, Neil (Peggy) Bohnsack, Brian (Jan) Bohnsack, Carol (Kent) Keller, Bonnie (Les) Rotvold, Dave (Melody) Bohnsack, Roger (Cheryl) Bohnsack, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Joleen, and her brothers Lynn and Charlie Bohnsack.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
