Robert Lemoyne Terry, 88, of Grand Forks, N.D., a longtime resident of Minot, N.D., passed away March 28, 2022, at his home in Grand Forks, N.D. Robert was married to Jean Ann Terry who passed away March 16, 2022. They were married for 67 years. Robert was born in Muscatine, Iowa on December 23, 1933. He met his wife while he was stationed in England with the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. Robert owned multiple Minot business in the late 60’s to late 70’s, including the Miracle Mart stores, Garden Valley, (late 60’s early 70’s), and the store next to K- Mart on South Hill (until 1976 when purchased by Steve Barlow). He also managed a motel and restaurant in Dodge City, Kansas. Robert worked many years as a meat cutter, even while he owned the Miracle Mart stores. Robert loved watching sports on TV, which included basketball, hockey, and his favorite was baseball (Detroit Tigers). Robert’s loving family includes: children, Suzanne Olson, Brookings, S.D., Faron (Karen) Terry, Minot: grandchildren, Shane (Salesha) Olson, Grand Forks, Joshua (Cora) Olson, Brookings, S.D. , Chase Olson, Brookings, S.D. , Chad Terry ( Ryan ), Minneapolis, M.N., Stacy Terry, Minneapolis, M.N.. , Bob Terry, Minot. He had 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ann Terry, father, Frederick Newell Terry, his mother, Bertha Elizabeth Plum, siblings: Robert had nine (9) brothers and three (3) sisters who all preceded him in death. Robert was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1956. He and his wife Jean will be buried at the Fargo National Cemetery. There will be a private ceremony. There will also be a celebration of life gathering in the summer: dates and times will be posted.
