Robert Schneider

Robert “ Bob” Schneider, 73, Grand Forks, ND, died Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Larimore, North Dakota.

Robert Leo Schneider, the son of Merle and Joyce (Brumwell) Schneider, was born in Grand Forks, on June 4, 1948. He attended St. Mary’s school, South Jr. High School, and later graduated from Central High School.  He continued his education at Wahpeton State School of Science where he studied auto parts. 

Robert served from 1968-1970 in the US Army,1year in Artillery Division in Vietnam and 1 year active Duty in the United States. Robert married Sherry Wolf on February 15, 1969.    Robert worked for several local contractors as a cement finisher. 

Bob enjoyed car shows, adored his ’64 Chevy, putting models together.  He also enjoyed family gatherings, loved to watch westerns on TV, visiting with his friends, and going to the Legion, VFW, and Eagles with his brother Dave, loved phone visits with his son Jeff, and his “Old Mil”. 

Bob is survived by, his son Jeff; sisters, Merlyn (Gary) Stauss, Patty (Randy) Iverson, Sharon (Dan) Luney, and Shirley (Allan “Buck”) Enright; brother, Dave (Bonnie) Schneider; and several nieces and nephews.  Hie is preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Joyce Schneider and his ex-wife, Sherry.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2021 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks.  Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Prayer Service on Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.  Interment with military honors will be in Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks.  An online guestbook is available at www.amundsonfunerahome.com.
