Robert Douglas Olson, 76, Grand Forks, died Monday, June 24, 2024, in Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota.

Robert was born March 31, 1948, the son of Lester and Genieve (Severson) Olson. He grew up in Grand Forks. At the age of 17, Robert began working for Twin City Testing. He worked his way up to manager and later became the owner, renaming it Interstate Testing Services. In 2007 Robert sold the business and stayed on to help with things until he retired.

He married the love of his life Sharon on January 9, 1970, and they were blessed by their two daughters. This year marked their 54th anniversary.

Robert enjoyed photography, woodworking, golf, and spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon, daughters: Wendy (Mick) Enright, West Fargo, ND, Jennifer Coulter, Henderson, NV; grandchildren: Courtney Coulter, Zachary Lanus, Colton Lanus, Makenna Lanus; great grandchildren: Coraline Canon, Zavier Lanus; brother Gene (Ina) Olson, Lake Park, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Emmett Olson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.
