Celebration of Life for Richard W Fox
There will be an open house from11am-4pm on
Saturday June 10th, 2023 at Turtle River State Park
(20 miles west of Grand Forks) in the Chalet Warming House.
We will gather to share some of our favorite memories and stories and remember the wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather
who is greatly missed.
Richard W. Fox passed away on Monday Dec. 26th, 2022 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND. He was 84.
Richard was born on Dec. 18, 1938 in Cando, ND to Joseph and Geneva (Kessler) Fox. He was raised and received his education in Cando, ND graduating from Cando Highschool. He married Carol Nikolaisen on Nov. 30, 1958 in Cando, ND. They started their life together in Cando and then moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1963 and raised their 7 children.
Richard worked for Massey Ferguson as a Parts Manager and then for the State of North Dakota until his retirement.
Richard was strong in his faith and enjoyed going to gospel retreats. He enjoyed working on projects around the house, gardening, working on boats, cars and anything with a motor. He enjoyed going to auctions where he picked up lots and lots of tools and trinkets that filled the garage. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, fishing and more fishing.
Richard is survived by Carol Fox, his 7 children, Trudy (Rod) Sagen of Beulah, ND, Rick (Brenda) Fox of Lakeville, MN, Kelly Fox of Reynolds, ND, Lonny (Kris) Wojchowski of Grand Forks, ND, Corey (Dolly) Fox of Thompson, ND, Kristy (Cody) Smeltzer of Grand Forks, ND, Mindy Fox of Grand Forks, ND; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Lori (Larry) Blythe, Aleen (Larry) Albers and Darrell (Marion) Fox.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers Garth, Vernon and Morris and nephew T.J.
As per our dad’s wish, there will be no funeral service.
