In Loving Memory of Rick Aamot (April 28, 1956 - September 17, 2023)
Rick Aamot, a beloved husband, proud father, and dedicated firefighter, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2023, after bravely facing cancer. He was 67 years old.
On December 1, 1979, Rick and Bonnie Aamot embarked on a lifelong journey together, marked by love, laughter, and adventure. Most recently, they shared a passion for pickleball and cherished their winters in the warmth of Arizona, escaping the harsh North Dakota cold.
Rick devoted 31 years of his life to the noble profession of firefighting, serving his community with unwavering commitment and valor. His selfless dedication not only earned him the respect of his fellow firefighters but also inspired his two sons, who followed his path and became firefighters themselves.
Rick's life was a testament to resilience and courage. He triumphed over AL amyloidosis, demonstrating incredible strength in the face of adversity. His indomitable spirit served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
