Reginald Jechart

Reginald Charles Jechart 82, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in his home.

Reginald was born on June 18, 1942, in Lakota, North Dakota to Charles E. and Grayce E. (Vary) Jechart. He grew up and attended school in Reynolds, ND. Reg joined the US Air Force in 1959 and served at bases in Texas and New Jersey. He was honorably discharged in 1963.

Reg graduated from business college and went to work at Lunseth Plumbing and Heating Company. He became the office manager and eventually a partner in the business becoming the company Vice President until his retirement in 2004. He was also one of the founders of Dakota Fire Protection Co. in Grand Forks.

Reginald married Susan Marie Johnson on September 2, 1966, at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, Minn. Reg enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time at their lake cabin in Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan, son Charles, brother Bruce, and sister Eleanor Saure.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Amundson Funeral Home. A graveside payer service will be held at 2:30 p.m. following the visitation at Memorial Park South Cemetery.
