Randy Wayne Johnson

September 27, 1958 — September 21, 2021

Randy Wayne Johnson, 62, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Tuesday, September 21, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his family.

Randy was born in Grafton, ND on September 27, 1958 to Jerry & Charlene (Kroocmo) Johnson. He was raised in Grand Forks with his three brothers. Randy met and started dating Shirley Olson in 1977 and the two were married on April 23, 1982. Together they made their home in Grand Forks. Randy was blessed with one son and three daughters.

Randy worked for Wells Concrete for 22 years. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to lend a hand when needed. He contributed many hours to helping with home improvement projects and working on vehicles always while enjoying a cold one. Randy was a kind, loving man who always brought a smile to people's faces.

Randy's personality could be best characterized as laid back, fun loving and down to earth. He was usually found working on his '73 Nova and blasting Pink Floyd. Where ever his girls were, he was never far away. If he wasn't with his kids, he was on the phone with them or on his way to meet them.

Randy always had a way of making everyone who crossed his path feel like family.

Randy is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Darryl (Jackie); daughters, Ashley (Adam); Katy (Matt), and Megan; grandchildren, Jayden, Lily, Devon, Madison, Wyatt, Makayla, Owen, Tucker, Camila, and Mateo. His mother, Charlene, brothers Shane (Sandy), and Dion (Lisa) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry; brothers, Brad and Ricky; father-in-law Irvin; mother-in-law Mildred 'Millie'.
