Ralph Leo Thompson, 82, Grand Forks died Monday, September 25, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

Ralph Leo Thompson was born to Wellington Thompson Jr. and Alice Robillard on  February 15, 1941 in Walhalla, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Hannah, North Dakota. Ralph married Karen and had two boys Robert and Ronnie. Ralph married Donna Korczak and had Mark, Alan, and Bonnie. Ralph married Faye Jerome and adopted her children Patrick, Rachel, and Tammy.

Ralph worked at Gambles in Grafton, North Dakota then started his own carpet business. The carpet business became Ralph and Sons Carpet Installation, where his sons Mark, Alan, Pat , and his nephew Jamie Thompson all worked.   Ralph enjoyed cat fishing at Drayton dam in Drayton, North Dakota, hunting deer, playing pool, going to the casino, bingo at Southgate, and telling jokes. 

Ralph is survived by his children Robert Thompson , Ronnie Thompson, Mark Thompson, Alan Thompson, Pat (Denise) Thompson , Bonnie (Brad) Anderson, Rachel (Ken) Heinzen, and Tammy Thompson; many grand-children and great grand-children ; siblings Clara ( Denis) Skjordal, Mabel( Don) Dahl, Arnold ( Doreen) Thompson, Betty Goodrie, Diann(Gerald) Denault, and Gary (Lee) Thompson. 

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Wellington and Alice Thompson; his wife Faye Thompson (Jerome); siblings Janice, Shirley, Florence, Iva, Vione, Doris, Gera!d, Willard ; grandchild Lindzy Thompson.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Amundson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
