Perdean H. Flesche, age 84, longtime resident of Grand Forks, ND, died on July 17, 2024, in East Grand Forks, MN.

Born on July 16, 1940, in Grand Forks, ND to his loving parents Edgar S. and Tilda J. (Engebretson) Flesche. He was the youngest of four children. He attended school in a one room schoolhouse and then graduated High School in Crookston. He also enrolled at the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston where he studied Agriculture; he also studied Automotive Technology in Fargo. Perdean met and later married Karen Larson on January 20, 1968.

Throughout life, Perdean committed himself to cultivating the land near Reynolds, primarily growing beans, wheat, and barley. His career as a farmer and as a Maintenance Manager at UND for 40 years was not just a livelihood but a reflection of his unwavering commitment to providing for his family and community. He was man whose life was defined by work, love, and a remarkable ability to fix anything, Perdean leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished by all who knew him.

Beyond his work on the farm, Perdean found joy in nurturing a large garden and sharing its bounty with friends and family. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking, attending church regularly, and engaging in heartfelt conversations about the weather with friends - activities that brought him immense happiness. Perdean's kindness and honesty endeared him to all who crossed his path. His willingness to lend a helping hand and his ability to mend anything that needed fixing made him a true pillar of strength for those around him.

In addition to his dedication to farming and his many hobbies, Perdean also served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army. His military service exemplified his sense of duty and patriotism.

Family and friends will gather to pay their respects at the upcoming services. Visitation will take place at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks on July 25th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM followed by a Prayer Service from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The following day, July 26th, visitation will continue at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM leading up to the Funeral Service at noon.

Perdean is survived by his sister Dorothy Ehlert, sister-in-law Ila Flesche. His kids Lori Ladden, Michael (Cheryl) Flesche, Brian (Florence) Flesche, Stacey (Jon) Falch, and Jamie (Nick) Denning. As well as his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen and his parents, Edgar and Tilda Flesche. His Brothers Donald and Evertt Flesche and Niece Erika Nelson.

Perdean H. Flesche's impact on those around him is immeasurable, and though he may no longer be physically present, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will gather to pay their respects at the upcoming services.
