Pauline J. Hesse

Pauline J, Hesse passed away to meet her God on December 7th, 2021. Pauline Janice Daub was born January 11,1938 in Enderlin, ND, to Roy and Esther (Robertson) Daub. She grew up and graduated from Nome, ND High School, where she was a cheerleader and basketball player. She graduated from VCSC in 1960 with a degree in English.

Pauline married Vaughn Hesse at Nome ND in 1960 Pauline and Vaughn taught in Max, ND before moving to Grand Forks in 1962. Pauline was an elementary librarian for 1 year in East Grand Forks before becoming a mother in 1964, and again in 1966. In 1972 Pauline began selling Avon and continued for over 45 years. She was a proud member of the Avon President's club and earned many "Albee" statues for her accomplishments.

Pauline was preceded in death by her brother Alan Daub, sister-in-law Joann Daub and brother-in-law Carl Rogne.

Pauline is survived by her husband Vaughn, sister Florene, daughters Lisa Hesse (Andrew Datko) and Pam Hesse (Rob Volker), and grandchildren Sage and Coleman Datko, Cody and Alec Hesse, and Billie Volker, and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service and a celebration of her life will be held. Please wear a mask, something purple, and be ready to share your favorite story about her. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your preference. And remember, you are never fully dressed without SUNSCREEN!!
