Sobolik, age 70, resident of Grand Forks, ND, died peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by her family. Patsy “Patty” Ann Wagner was born to Howard and Erma (Obercht) Wagner in Crookston, MN on August 25, 1953. Patty was raised on the family farm Northeast of Fisher, MN. She attended and graduated from Fisher High School. On December 21st, 1974, she married Mark Sobolik. They were blessed with one daughter, Shannon. Patty attended Joseph’s School of Cosmetology in Grand Forks. She started her career working for many different salons in the area. She retired from 4000 Square in 2014, due to health issues. Patty’s passion was her family, spending every extra minute that she could with her grandsons: Daniel, Avery and Elijah. She was also known for her passion for oil painting. A hobby that she picked up from the University of North Dakota. She also enjoyed shopping, spending time at the Lake, puzzles and collecting recipe books. Patty is survived by her loving husband, Mark Sobolik of Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Shannon of Watauga, TX; grandchildren: Daniel Sobolik, Avery Woods and Elijah Woods all of Watauga, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and one great nephew and one great-great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sisters, Connie Braaten and Betty Lou Jahnke. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:00AM at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 02023 at Amundson Funeral Home from 5-7PM with a Prayer Service starting at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday one hour prior to the service at Amundson Funeral Home.
