Patricia Ann Sattler, 76 of East Grand Forks, Minnesota died Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her home due to complications from stomach cancer surgery, surrounded by her loving family.

Patti was born on March 24, 1948, in Roseau, Minnesota to Albert and Ann (Cwikla) Zeidlik. Patti still has the original invoice for the cost of her birth at Budd Hospital. The cost of her birth in 1948 was $61.50. 

Patti grew up in Roseau, Minnesota and graduated from Roseau High School in 1966. Shortly after graduation she went to work as a dental assistant for Dr. Irvin Galstad in Roseau, Minnesota. When Dr. Galstad opened an office in East Grand Forks, Minnesota she moved to East Grand Forks, Minnesota to assist him. Patti and Dr. Galstad worked together for 40 plus years until his retirement. 

Patti was married to Chuck Sattler for some time. During this union they had a daughter Jamie. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were the light of her life. Patti enjoyed trips to the casino, doing puzzles with her sisters, shopping at all the Hugo’s grocery sales, baking and cooking for her daughter and grandchildren.

Patti is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Chad) Sattler; grandchildren, Jayden (Chloe) Sorteberg and Jersey Sorteberg; great-granddaughter, Journee Sorteberg; four sisters, Paulette Omdahl, Joni (Jeff) Pelowski, Julie Peterson and Dawn (Loren) Horner; one brother, Dale (Arnetta) Zeidlik and several nieces and nephews. 

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ann Zeidlik.

Patti’s family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for assisting Patti’s family with her care until her passing. A special thank you to Denise, Kylie and staff.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, Minnesota. A memorial mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
