Patricia Ann Fields, 70, of Arvilla, ND passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Altru Hospital.  

Patricia Ann Duval was born on September 11, 1953, in Ware, Massachusetts. She grew up in Wheelwright, Massachusetts as the oldest of five children. She attended Saint Aloysius Grammar School before attending Quabbin High School. While in high school, she met the love of her life, and on December 9, 1972, Patricia married Gary Fields. They moved to Loring Air Force Base, Maine, and welcomed their first son, Gary Wayne, in 1974. In 1975, they were stationed in Hawaii. They welcomed their second son, Mike, in 1976. In 1978, they were stationed at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. While at GFAFB, she started her career with AAFES, which lasted for 35 years. After retiring from AAFES, she was employed as a CNA at the Larimore Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Throughout her employment, she made lifelong friends and connections.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with family and friends at home and at the lake relaxing. She loved making lifelong friends through everything she did. Patricia’s greatest pleasure came from her four grandchildren. From watching their sporting events growing up, to seeing them grow into the young men they are today; her grandchildren were her everything. She would stop at nothing to boast about how great they are.

Patricia is survived by her husband Gary, Arvilla, ND; her children, Gary (Jolene) Fields, Thompson, ND and Mike (Desirae Stevens) Fields, Detroit Lakes, MN; her grandchildren, Connor Fields, Thompson, ND and Jackson, Jordan, and Jace, Detroit Lakes, MN; brothers and sisters Carol (Pete) Reed, Kathy (Henry) Kane, Jean (Donny) Prouty, Mike Duval; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lillian Duval, and nephew Brad Perez.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
