Braget, 50, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Visitation will begin at 2:00. Nancy was born on October 24, 1972, in Karlstad, Minnesota to Richard and Joann (Charbonneau) Braget. She attended school in Walhalla, North Dakota and one year of college at the University of Minnesota-Crookston. Nancy has three children, Andrew Braget, Lucas Braget and Emma Goulet. She met the love of her life, Lonnie Goulet, in 2012. She worked many different jobs throughout her life. She was working for LISTEN Gaming for the past 5 plus years at the time of her death. Nancy loved spending time with her children and Lonnie. She liked to travel and enjoyed spending time with her daughter, favorite cousins and aunts on these excursions. Lonnie and Nancy traveled to Las Vegas and North Carolina enjoying this time with family and friends. Nancy enjoyed crafting. She could be found in the basement of their family home with ribbons, material and other crafting supplies scattered about the floor while she was creating her masterpieces. Surviving Nancy is her mother, Joann Braget of Walhalla, ND; her children, Andrew Braget of Walhalla, Lucas Braget and Emma Goulet of Grand Forks; Lonnie’s children, Alicia Gerszewski of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Trevor Gerszewski and Andrew Gerszewski of Grand Forks; a granddaughter, Natalia Bercier of Fargo, ND; Lonnie’s granddaughter, Laysha Gerszewski of Grand Forks; her sisters Dana (Floyd) Lafferty of Walhalla, ND, Sonya Braget of Grand Forks, and Renetta (Jay) Johnson of Drayton, ND; Her nieces and nephews, Anthony Goulet, Leah (Jason) McCloud, Jessica (Kris) Goulet, Jimmy (Jennifer) Goulet, Kyle (Stacie) Johnson, and Brett Johnson; great-nieces and nephews, Logan and Jaxson McCloud, A.J., Aria and Andie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, and maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
