Merlin A. Johnson

To watch a recording of the service, please use the link: https://youtu.be/A7Tjxgdm2ns Merlin Ardell Johnson, 79, passed away on August 11, 2023 at Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND. He was born on July 14, 1944, in Breckenridge, MN, to Palmer and Marjorie (Graffis) Johnson from Lisbon, ND. He lived with his parents in Lisbon until 2002, when he moved to Grand Forks and began living independently. He became involved with Support Systems, Inc., the GF Growth and Support Center (formerly Agassiz Enterprises), the Listen Center, and Special Olympics. He most recently resided at Valley Senior Living on Columbia. Merlin and his family very much appreciate the love and support he received from his friends and the incredible staff members of these agencies to bring so much joy into his life. He is survived by sisters Carol Holtan (Fargo) and Peggy Johnson (Grand Forks); nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Zion Cemetery in rural Lisbon, ND.
