McCormick Allen Beireis, 2, Grand Forks, died at Sanford Health Center in Fargo on Friday, March 22, 2019, surrounded by his family. McCormick ‘Mickey Mac’, the son of Allen and Jill (Jorgensen) Beireis, was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on May 17, 2016. He filled our hearts with a joy, love, and understanding we never knew before. His beautiful blue eyes captivated everyone who met him. Mickey Mac always had a busy social life with appointments, therapies, and play dates. He especially loved music and dance. He loved playing with his sisters, daycare friends and seeing his extra chromies. Leaving the house with dad was always a proud moment, waving goodbye with a big smile. He liked to yell “hi” “no” “go” and his favorite “mum mum”. The best part of his day was saying good night and tucking in his sisters, then getting to cuddle with mom before going to bed. When he left, he took a piece of everyone’s heart with him. He has forever changed our hearts and minds. And will be missed more than words can express. McCormick is survived by his parents, Allen and Jill, Grand Forks; sisters, Rosaleigh and Annabell, at home; grandparents, Connie and Doug Beireis, Annette Jorgensen, Tom and Carol Schaub; great-grandparents, Arlyn and Liz Jorgensen, and Sheila McCormick. Aunts and uncles; Jodi (Chris) Botelho, Amy Thorsell, Jeremy (Andrea) Beireis, Jazmine (Jaime) Campos, Andrew Krank, William Schaub, Geneva Schaub. Godparents Kathryn Nordeen and Kayne Campos. And many cousins. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. South 20th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m., also in the church. Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks is in charge of arrangements.
