Marsha L. Bouvette

Marsha L. Bouvette, age 78, of Grand Forks, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Valley Senior Living Woodside Village in Grand Forks.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Amundson Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Marsha Lynn McNamee was born April 2, 1946, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Joseph and Lorraine (Eeg) McNamee. She graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1964. Following graduation, she continued her education at the University of North Dakota where she earned her bachelor's degree in education. On April 6, 1968, Marsha was united in marriage to Douglas Bouvette at Augustana Lutheran Church. Marsha had a home daycare business and taught business education at Sacred Heart School before she accepted a bookkeeping position with the Grand Forks Park District where she dedicated over 25 years before her retirement in March of 2011.

Marsha's steadfast love and fairness made her not only a matriarch but a guiding light in her family’s lives. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing poker and card games and cherished her memories of all the family camping and canoeing trips along the Crow Wing River where she taught her children outdoor skills that they have passed on to their children. Her dancing-eyes and unique “Grandma Marsha laugh” will be deeply missed. 

Marsha is survived by her son, Thain (Tangee) Bouvette of Grand Forks, ND; daughter, Sarah (Troy) Lundeby of Grand Forks, ND; grand-daughters, Casey Bouvette and Jessie Lundeby; grand-sons, Drew Lundeby, Nicholas Bouvette, and Kellan Bouvette; brother, Terry McNamee of Green Bay, WI, and Martin (Bonnie) McNamee of Grand Forks, ND; sister, Margaret (Tom) Goeddel of Grand Forks, ND; and many other family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; parents, Joseph and Lorraine; siblings, Mary Bukoski, Joe, Mike, and Mark McNamee; and sister-in-law, Pat McNamee.
