Mark William Short, 54, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Mark was born August 14, 1966, in Belcourt, ND, the son of Wayne "Skip" Short and Regina (Thomas) Ringham. He graduated from Border Central High School in 1985.
He served 3 years in the US Army before his honorable discharge in 1987.
Mark attended the ND State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, where he received a degree in Auto Body Repair.
He had a few jobs over the years working for RDO, Simplot, and in recent years has been an over the road truck driver for Trans Systems. After years of hard work, Mark reached his goal of purchasing his own house and creating a home for his family.
Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing video games, and golfing. He also loved his family dearly and liked nothing more than to spend time with his kids and granddaughters as well as visiting the rest of his family.
He is survived by his children Brandon, Kristina, Ariel, and Mark Jr. of East Grand Forks, MN; parents, Wayne and Regina; brothers, Paul (LeeAnn) Short of Mandan; Gary (A.J.) Ringham of Fargo; William (Rebecca) Ringham of Minot; sisters, Darla (Frank) Flake of Titusville, FL; Pam (Doug) Baker of Bentley, KS; Deborah Ringham of Minot; granddaughter, Nova; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Mark was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Ringham and grandchild, Catherine.
A private funeral service will be held with a burial with military honors at the Fargo National Veteran's Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
