Marjorie Lou Lealos

Marjorie (Marge) Lou Lealos (Johnson), of Grand Forks, passed away on September 10, 2022 after a long and happy life.

Marge Johnson was born on July, 23, 1937 in Grand Forks, ND. After graduating from Central High School in 1955, she married Douglas Lealos and they were wed in 1955, going on to have 5 children, Debbie, Sandi, Barb, Laurie, and DJ.

They moved to El Paso, TX in 1984, and to Phoenix, AZ in 1987. She spent a few years back in El Paso beginning in 2001, and eventually moved back to Grand Forks, where she most recently lived at the Edgewood Assisted Living Community.

Marge was predeceased by her loving husband Doug in 2000. She is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Marge was a loving and dedicated mother and was a friend to everyone she met. She loved visiting with family, playing bingo, cooking (her hamburger hotdish was legendary), and spending time with her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Marge was thoughtful to all, and sacrificed herself for others right to the end, when she donated her remains to the UND Medical School to contribute to the advancement of medical education.
