Margaret A. Medina, age 72, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, died on March 26, 2025 at her home in McDavid, FL. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication that will forever be cherished by those who had the honor to know her.

Margaret Ann Lian was born on June 21, 1952, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Nelvin and Rhea (Galegher) Lian. Margaret spent her formative years in the place she adored, attending school in her hometown, where she began to cultivate the warmth and kindness that would define her life. Learning to become a cherished daughter, sister and friend who touched the lives of many with her nurturing spirit and love for all creatures great and small.

As a military spouse, she witnessed the challenges of life alongside her beloved husband, E.E "Tolo" Medina. Their bond exemplified commitment and understanding, a testament to the strength of their love through life's ups and downs.

Margaret took immense pride in her family and openly celebrated the joys of being an aunt to her nephews, Bret and Eric, showing them kindness and gentleness that will remain in their hearts forever. Her spirit was characterized by a nurturing and calming presence that brought tranquility to those around her.

A true lover of animals, Margaret dedicated herself to rescuing and caring for dogs, horses, exotic birds, and even cows. She passionately embraced her roles as a caregiver not only to her cherished pets but to all living beings she encountered. Her home was always a haven for those in need of love and comfort, embodying a life committed to making a difference.

Margaret was also an avid reader and an exceptional cook, hobbies that brought her joy and provided a way for her to share love with family and friends through the meals and stories she shared. Her proudest accomplishment was maintaining a home filled with the sounds of joyful animals and the laughter of loved ones, as well as raising AKC Conformation Champion dogs, something she took great joy and pride in throughout her life.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, E.E. "Tolo" Medina; brother, Mark (Sharon) Lian; two nephews, Bret and Eric Lian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelvin and Rhea Lian, who instilled in her the values of love and kindness that she warmly shared with others.

We gather to celebrate Margaret's life with a Memorial Service at Amundson Funeral home at 11:00am on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Margaret’s legacy of love will forever remain a guiding light, inspiring us to approach our lives with the same warmth and compassion she so effortlessly conveyed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Amundson Funeral Home at 11:00am on Saturday, May 31st. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at the Thompson City Cemetery immediately following the service.
