Margaret Lucille Kindem

Margaret Lucille Kindem, 82, died on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Pioneer House in Fargo, ND.

Margaret was born April 24, 1939, the daughter of Odd & Fern (Sharbono) Erickson. She grew up in Devils Lake and graduated from Devils Lake Central in 1957.

She married Delno "Del" G. Kindem, on June 27, 1958 in Devils Lake, ND. They raised 2 children, Jay and Lisa and made their home in Devils Lake and Grand Forks.

Margaret worked for United Hospital in the admitting department. She also worked at Griffith's Dept. Store at the cosmetic counter and the Westward Ho as a hat check girl in1970's.

Del and Peggy spent many summers at their RV near Nevis, MN, on West Crooked Lake. It still continues right up to this day with the great grand children.

Margaret loved to shop. She enjoyed finding gifts for her family. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist church and involved with many activities with her church. She was a member of Sons of Norway and a book club member for many years. Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved her many trips she took with her sister, Ardys and daughter, Lisa.
Margaret loved all animals and had a special love for her cat Daisy.

Margaret is survived by her son, Jay Kindem of Grand Forks; daughter, Lisa (Marle) Poehls of Fargo, ND; a sister, Ardys (Tony) Hawkins of Beaverton, OR; sister-in-law, Maxine (Charles) Brickner of Rice Lake, WI; grandchildren, Marie (Andre) Grisotto of Lafayette, LA, Corissa (Michael) Kolesar of Fargo, Samantha Poehls of Fargo; great-grandchildren, Owen Campbell, Nico Grisotto of Lafayette, LA, Bailey Kolesar, Andrew Kolesar and Opal Poehls all of Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Del and an infant brother.

Funeral Service:  3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5th at Amundson Funeral Home with visitation from 2-3pm prior to the service. 

Interment: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6th at the Devils Lake City Cemetery, Devils Lake, ND.
