Margaret S. Fish

Margaret "Muggs" Sue Fish died on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Valley Senior Living.

She was born March 25, 1938, in Grand Forks, ND to Melvin and Violet (Thorsteinson) Jorgenson. She graduated from Central High School and attended business college. Margaret married Jim Fish on June 14, 1957 in Grand Forks. Margaret was a very civic minded person, this included working elections and census taking. Margaret worked for a time preparing taxes for H & R Block and then volunteered for many years with AARP preparing taxes. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and friends and working crossword puzzles. Margaret was interested in learning new things and was always busy with some kind of project. Margaret had a strength about her that her family relied on and will be missed. 

Survivors include her son, Jim (Kari) Fish; Grandchildren, Travis (JoAnna) Northington, Trent (Maria) Northington, Grace Fish and James Fish; Great Grandchildren, Avalynn, Otto, Luella, Riley and Lana; Brothers, Robert Jorgenson (Woodbury, MN) and Kenneth Jorgenson (Prague, OK); Sisters, Donna Morrison (Grand Forks, ND) and Katherine Gray (Prague, OK), and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Fish; daughter, Jodi Northington; sisters, Laura Franz Gust and Sara Hanson; Brothers, Marvin Jorgenson, Melvin Jorgenson, William Jorgenson and Mark Jorgenson.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
