Mae Ella Jackson 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by her loving family.

Mae was born on April 27, 1947 to Howard and Esther Helgoe in Cavalier, ND. Mae graduated from Cavalier High School and Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND.

She married Donald Jackson on July 26, 1969 in Cavalier, ND. Together they made their home in Grand Forks, raising two children.

Mae worked for Border State Electric for 33 years retiring in 1999. In her retirement she worked for Macy’s and Ralph Engelstad Arena.

Mae’s passion for life was infectious and dynamic, she loved everyone and everything. She enjoyed casino adventures with family and friends. Her annual rummage sales attracted people near and far looking for a great deal. Mae’s mystery shopping trips were well planned and always kept her friends wondering what’s next. Mae loved tending to her beautiful flowers around the house, socializing with friends and playing Bunko. But most of all….Mae loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. No matter what her grandchildren wanted to do, she was right alongside them playing. Mae is an inspiration for all and is the strongest, bravest person we know. She battled cancer for almost 12 years and did it with the most positive attitude and without ever hearing her complain. She battled so hard for her friends, family, and grandchildren. Mae would always say, “God is Good!!”

Mae is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Stokke of Princeton, MN; son, Brian (Rachelle) Jackson of Fargo; grandkids Kaitlyn, Connor, Cullen Stokke. Sidnee, twin granddaughters Kayla and Alexis Jackson; and brothers Larry (Penny) Helgoe of Kansas, and Floyd (Cathy) Helgoe of North Dakota. Mae loved her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Jackson and parents, Howard and Esther Helgoe
