Lynn Puppe, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, Minnesota.
Carolynne "Lynn" A. Puppe, was born on August 30, 1944, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Hugh McMillan and Florence Della (Purpur) Longmuir. She is remembered as a diligent and tireless worker, dedicated to her career in sales, where her commitment to her clients was as unwavering as her love for her family.
A proud graduate of Winship Elementary and Central High School in Grand Forks, Lynn carried the lessons of her early education throughout her life. In 1962, she married James Maunz, and later divorced in 1968. It was in 1971, that she met and married Darold Puppe, a union filled with love until his passing in 2014. Together, they formed a life rich in experiences, marked by travel and a deep involvement in family events.
Lynn was not just a remarkable professional; she was a loving mother to her three sons: James, Mark, and John. Her pride in her children was evident, and her spirit was woven into the fabric of their lives. Her gentle and kind nature made her a beloved storyteller, often recounting tales with warmth and humor, regardless of how many times they had been told. Lynn’s presence brought joy; she loved to visit, connecting with family and friends in a way that made each person feel special and valued.
Lynn is survived by her children: James Maunz of Thief River Falls, MN, Mark (Stacie) Maunz of Thief River Falls, MN and John Maunz of Crookston, MN; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Florence Longmuir and sister to the late Jim Longmuir. Losing her husband, parents, brother and great granddaughter Skylynn was a profound sorrow that shaped her life, but she remained a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew her.
Lynn A. Puppe leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Her family and friends will carry forth the memories of her kind spirit and the countless stories she shared, ensuring that her light continues to shine brightly in their lives.
