Lucas Jon Perez

Our beloved Lucas Jon Perez, 32 of Grand Forks was called to his eternal home on April 21st, 2024.

Lucas was born on July 1st, 1991, to Tomas and Herlinda Perez. After attending school at Grafton High School, he entered the workforce at the North Dakota Mill, where Lucas worked for 9 years. 

In 2010, Lucas met Whitney, his lifelong partner. Lucas and Whitney lived in Fargo for a short period before ultimately purchasing a home in Grand Forks, ND. They went on to have one daughter, McKinley Quinn Perez. 

Lucas spent his free time being a dad and showing off on the grill for family. He was the life of the party who exuded enormous amounts of kindness. Lucas strived to provide for his family, this was something he took pride in. Lucas touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all. 

Lucas is survived by his lifelong partner, Whitney Perez, daughter, McKinley Perez, parents Tomas and Herlinda Perez, his brothers: Jesus Perez, Emilio Perez; sister, Laura (Adolfo) Obregon and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

Lucas was preceded in death by his grandfather Nicholas Rodriguez, uncle Richard Rodriquez, aunts: Irene Schlosser, Virginia Rodriguez, and cousin Marcus Contreras.

Visitation and viewing will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
