Lonnie Wayne Shroyer

Lonnie W. Shroyer, 66, of Cass Lake, MN, (formerly of Grand Forks, ND) passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Lonnie was born October 14, 1955, in East Grand Forks, MN, the son of Vern & Beverly (Weir) Shroyer. He graduated from Red River High School in 1973.

He married Rebecca Rollings on June 7, 1980 in Grand Forks. Together they made their home in Grand Forks.

Lonnie worked as a mechanic for his whole career, retiring in 2019 from RDO Truck Equipment.

He enjoyed being a pilot, boating, scuba diving, traveling, building airplanes and just being “The Captain”.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Becky; brother, Rod (Laurel) Shroyer; sisters, Barb Slone, Glenda “Ole” Carpp, Ardie “Bob” Nelson and nieces and nephews, James, Jeff, Erin, Ryan, Austin, Megan, Erin, Nathan, Mitchell, Lucas, Amanda, Kris, Kathy and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private prayer service will be held. 

A celebration of life open house will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Tom’s Harbor Lodge 16655 Hightop Way NW in Cass Lake.

Interment will be in Memorial Park South in Grand Forks, N.D.
