Leland Skjervem

Leland Oscar Skjervem, of Grand Forks, passed away at home on Thursday November 21st, 2024, after a battle with lung cancer, at the age of 87.

 Leland was born on May 17th, 1937, in rural Fordville, ND to Edwin and Melvina (Enerson) Skjervem. He attended school in Dahlen then went to work on the family farm. Leland continued farming in the Fordville area for many years during which he was blessed with his sons Leland Jr. and Kristofer.

Leland really enjoyed the time he got to spend playing cards with his Grandchildren or tinkering on cars with his son and always kept himself busy working in the yard or napping on the couch with his buddy Oliver.

Leland is survived by his sister Evelyn Peterson of Grand Forks, his son Leland Jr. of Brownsdale, MN, 4 Grandchildren- Caitlynn, Vondra, Brody and Haeven, several nieces and nephews and dear friend Valerie Buckingham.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Kristofer, siblings Orris Skjervem, Elsie Skjervem, Clarine Agre, Edna Johnson, Alice Fontaine, Kenneth Skjervem and Helen Marcks.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
Burial will be held in Zion Cemetery, Dahlen, North Dakota.
