Lee Ardell Norman, 64, East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Lee was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Clifford and Donna (Deitz) Norman on October 18, 1955.
He grew up in Grand Forks and attended Central High School. After high school, Lee went to Aakers Business College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. He married his high school sweetheart, Julie (Sagstuen) on March 6th, 1976 in Holt, MN. They moved to Drayton, ND the following summer where he took a job at American Crystal Sugar. He had great success over his 43 year career and retired April 2019. Lee and Julie were blessed in 1987 with the adoption of their twin boys Troy and Travis. In 1993, Lee and family moved to East Grand Forks, MN where they have since called home.
He was a hard working family man. In his free time he loved to ride motorcycle, fish, curl, attend Sioux hockey, travel, relax at the lake, and above all spend time with his family. After his retirement, nothing could stop him from spoiling his four grandchildren, who were his “pride and joy” as he would say.
Lee is survived by his wife, Julie, East Grand Forks, MN; sons, Troy (Molly) Norman, Audubon, MN, and Travis (Jenna) Norman, Otsego, MN; 4 grandchildren, Bradley, Graham, Adelynn, and Owen; siblings, Ronnie Norman, Grand Forks, ND, Debbie Woolsey, Lexington, KY, Linda (Rick) Otto, Mekinock, ND, and Lance (DeNae) Norman, Grand Forks, ND, and many nieces and nephews.
