Larry Don Weisser went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

He was born on November 18, 1950 to Oswald and Alma (Bertsch) Weisser.  He attended school in Ashley, North Dakota and later attended the University of North Dakota.

He was united in marriage to Geraldine Goehring on May 20, 1972 at Ashley Baptist Church.   They were blessed with two daughters and one son. They made their home in Grand Forks where Larry worked for Symington Construction for several years, and Residual Materials Incorporated for 30 years.  He thrived in his vocation working in maintenance and was known as a cheerful jack-of-all trades.

Faith in almighty God and the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ through his death, burial and resurrection was of most importance to Larry.  He was an active member of Faith Evangelical Free Church since 1972.  He served as a youth leader, adult Sunday school teacher, deacon, participated on two separate building committees, and assisted in the construction of the balcony and the youth Garage.  He loved working with his hands in woodworking and remodeling their home. He enjoyed studying the Bible and was especially interested in studying end-time events and prophesies.

He enjoyed the simple things in life.  He loved family activities including bike rides, grilling burgers and frequent trips to the Dairy Queen.  Later his 10 grandchildren brought him great delight.

Though he struggled with Parkinson’s Disease for 20 years, he faced each day with gentleness, humility and perseverance.  He did not lose heart even though his outward body was wasting away, his inward spirit was renewed day by day by the power of God’s Spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; and children, Allison (Chad) Raney of San Antonio, TX; Andrea (Patrick) Schultz of Thompson, ND; Anthony (Erica) Weisser of Grand Forks, ND; brother Curtis Weisser of St Paul, MN;10 grandchildren; one brother-in-law, James (Joy) Goehring; two nephews, Jeffrey (Angela) Goehring; Jason (Dawn) Goehring. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Alma Weisser.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 20, 2021 at Faith Evangelical Free Church of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
