Kylie Jo Olson, 41 of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her home.

Kylie Jo was born on November 12, 1982, the daughter of Dana and Marla (Eastman) Olson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised in Grand Forks until the 7th grade when her family moved to Cavalier, North Dakota. Kylie Jo graduated from Cavalier High School in 2001. She received a Criminal Justice Degree from Northland Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Operational Management from the University of Mary and was two months from a bachelor’s degree of Nursing from Rasmussen College. 

Kylie Jo met her loving partner, Robert Nelson in June of 2014. Together they fostered many children and enjoyed sharing their lives with each other. Kylie Jo always wanted to experience what life had to offer and making memories along the way.

Kylie Jo enjoyed bike rides with her mom, crocheting, flower gardens, remodeling the house, her guinea pigs and rummage sales with her mom.

Kylie Jo is survived by her partner, Robert Nelson of Grand Forks, ND; mother, Marla Eastman of Grand Forks, ND; brother, Ryan (Amy) Olson of Oslo, MN; niece, Thea and nephews, Otto, Rudy and Hank Olson; father, Dana (Laurie) Olson of Fingal, ND; sister, Jordan Olson of Portland, ND; grandmother, Margit Eastman of Mayville, ND; loving aunts and uncles.

Kylie Jo was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ken Eastman, Hartvick and Donna Olson, great grandparents, Hartwell and Thea Burner, Fred and Jane Eastman. 

 Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
