Kenny was born November 4, 1974 in Lampang, Thailand, the son of Richard Getsman and Pathana Wardner. They moved to Grand Forks where Kenny graduated from Red River High School in 1993.
Kenny excelled in sports. He was a Special Olympics athlete where he won many Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in soccer, weightlifting, track and field, bowling and bocce ball.
Kenny was always known for his big heart and contagious smile. He was known by many people and made friends everywhere he went. Some of his favorite activities included spending time at his moms house, calling and talking to his family, going to the movies, shopping, bowling, watching wrestling on tv, reading wrestling magazines, cheering on the NFL team that was doing the best that year, and he also loved going out to eat at Applebee's where he always made sure to flirt with the waitresses by waving and saying "Hi" with his shy but sweet voice and flashing his amazing smile.
Kenny was an amazing person with many known and unknown talents. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. Kenny loved calendars and was in charge of remembering family members birthdays and he could tell you what day of the week a certain date landed on for the current and following year. His favorite things to watch was HBO and Scary movies. He loved playing jokes/pranking people.
Kenny loved his mom more than anything in the world and his main priority was to call and talk to her every day to see how her and Big Guy(aka Telford) were doing, and to say good night.
Kenny always wanted people to know that he was a "Good Guy" but we are positive that those of us that know him can agree that he was an "Amazing Guy", as well as an Amazing Son, Amazing Brother, Amazing Uncle, and Amazing Friend.
