Kellie Jo Powell

Kellie Jo Powell, 59 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at her home.

Kellie was born on March 17, 1964, the daughter of Edward and Donna (Hilton) Smith in Manchester, Connecticut. She lived in Maine until 3rd grade and later moved to Delaware, Florida and eventually to Grand Forks, North Dakota. Kellie worked in various restaurants throughout her life.

Kellie was the rock of her family and had a great love for her family. She enjoyed the beach, being outside, arts, crafts and doing her nails. Kellie also had a love for cooking and was a great cook.

Kellie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Josh Bailey) Justus and Jamie (Christopher Chrobot) Smith; eight grandchildren, Danny Justus, Denise Justus, Brandon Hilton, Joshua Bailey, Kaiden Bailey, Liam Smith, Karly Chrobot and Kairen Chrobot; fiancé, Jeffrey Guy; siblings, Ed (Belinda) Smith, Rhonda Smith and Edrie (Kenneth) Warfle; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kellie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jason.

A celebration of Kellie's life will be held at a later date.
