Kathryn “Kathy” Cameron Shadduck passed away in her home February 23, 2020.
Kathy was born on February 8, 1947 in Grafton, ND, and graduated high school in Thief River, MN. She went on to become an RN. Her nursing profession carried throughout all aspects of her life.
She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 35 years, William (Bill) Shadduck; father, Lauchlin “Sonny”; mother, Evangeline Cameron; and sister, Sandra Erickson.
Kathy loved her lake home in Annandale, MN. She was a very loving, caring, and special person with an infectious laugh that always brought a ray of sunshine and laughter to a room. Most who met her never forgot her for that simple reason. She enjoyed every living thing, nature, agate hunting, and time spent on the N. Shore of Lake Superior. After the loss of her husband, she moved to ND to be closer to her siblings. She volunteered at Circle of Friends Humane Society and Altru Hospital. She was passionate about the dachshunds she had through her life and loved them dearly, especially Oscar and Sophie. She will be deeply missed by all fortunate enough to have known her. She was a truly remarkable person. We celebrate her life, knowing that she is now in heaven next to those that she has missed and loved so dearly.
Kathy is survived by her Brother, David (Rebecca) Cameron; Brother-In-Law, Paul Erickson; Niece, Kristen (Brent) Vik; and great nephew, Alec Erickson. Kathy is also survived by Bill’s family. Daughters, Sue (Steve) Vergin, Deb Janiak, and Bonnie Shadduck; Grandchildren, Cassie (Adam) Vergin-Michl, Mandy Vergin, Jason (Laura) McIntyre, Jordan (Savannah) Janiak, Jillian (Bradley) Huston, Andrew Nutter, Ryan (Angela) Nutter, and Ashley (Callie) Skaja; Great Grandchildren, Bree, Lydia and Elijah Michl, Paxton McIntyre, Emerson Nutter and many other relatives and friends.
